The City of Moreno Valley has received the California Municipal Treasurers Association’s Investment Policy Certification, recognizing the City’s commitment to responsible and transparent management of public funds.
The certification, issued July 10, 2026, follows an independent review of the City’s Investment Policy based on criteria including ethics and conflicts of interest, authorized investments, diversification, internal controls, reporting, safekeeping, and performance standards. Moreno Valley met the requirements for the “Certified” distinction.
“Our residents expect us to be responsible stewards of public funds, and that’s a responsibility we take seriously,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “This certification reflects the strong financial policies we have in place and our continued commitment to transparency and accountability.”
The certification provides an additional measure of accountability and recognizes the City’s Investment Policy for meeting established standards for municipal investment.
