The Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new chamber business to the group and to the area last week with a ribbon cutting ceremony. MetLife, a full service financial service firm, was welcomed officially to the community at its location at 1652 Plum Ln., Ste. 103 in Redlands. The event, which began at 2 p.m. on Dec. 5 and ran through the evening until 8 p.m., featured two ribbon cutting presentations to signify the business's entrance into two area Chamber of Commerces: The Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce and the Redlands Chamber of Commerce. Several dignitaries were present to welcome the business to the area, including board members of both the Loma Linda and Redlands Chambers, as well as Assemblyman Mike Morrell. With three financial service representatives at the helm — the business is headed by representative Brenda LaBar, Bob Christman and Alfredo Rangel — MetLife offers a wide breadth of services and products for its customers. These services include: wealth management funds; variable, fixed and index annuities; retirement services; estate conservation and tax reduction strategies; business services including insurance and retirement plans; as well as a range of other insurance services. MetLife also provides educational workshops to further advance the financial knowledge of its customers, including those for individuals as well as financial and executive planning business strategies.
