Description: The public is invited to the unveiling and dedication of a monument to honor the World War II and Korean Conflict veterans. It has been an effort of many years to create a memorial to the people of Bryn Mawr who stepped forward to serve their country. Sixty men of Bryn Mawr, a small community once nestled between Redlands and Loma Linda, served in World War II. Four were killed in action. Four additional men from the community served in the Korean Conflict.
Loma Linda designated the park at Juanita Street and Barton Road, Loma Linda, as the Bryn Mawr Veterans Memorial Park, but there has never been a monument dedicated to the veterans there. Thanks to the donation of a large boulder by Larry Jacinto Construction, the memorial plaque has a place. The plaque is being donated by the Loma Linda Area Parks and Historical Society.
The dedication will take place on Tuesday, November 11 (Veterans Day) at 1:00 p.m. Some seating will be provided. A short program will take place.
