Students from local schools and universities recently joined community organizations to participate in service projects throughout Loma Linda.
Projects included neighborhood beautification efforts, park cleanups, tree planting, and assistance for local nonprofit organizations. Community leaders say volunteerism continues to play an important role in strengthening connections between residents and fostering civic pride.
Many participants reported gaining valuable experience while making a positive impact on their community.
"It feels rewarding to work together and help improve the city," said one student volunteer.
Organizers hope to continue expanding volunteer opportunities throughout the summer months.
