R L Cohen Launches New Book

R L Cohen has launched a new book examining major problems currently facing California residents, such as affordable housing. The book titled Choosing Liberty in California Policy Reform: Examining Affordable Housing, Euthanasia, Occupational Licensing, and School Choice in California recognizes and highlights that for many Californians, it is becoming increasingly challenging to attain affordable housing and occupational licensing, despite being basic human needs. The book is available to purchase on Amazon at: HTTPS://AMZN.TO/36M0PCH.

Mr. Cohen believes that in California, affordable housing continues to be a prominent issue as home prices continue to surge. Millions of Americans and Californians every year are affected by the shortage of affordable housing. He also believes that it is possible to restore the full rights as well as the dignity of the residents of California through the process of applying various Libertarian principles, such as freedom and liberty.

The book also explores the dilemmas many Californian parents face when choosing a school for their kids, examining the effect of the increasing gap between private and public schools on families, schools, and the overall community. Mr. Cohen knows that school choice is a hot topic in California.

Private school vouchers, open enrollment, public charter schools, and homeschooling all frequently appear on the policy agenda in California as ways to improve and streamline the educational experience for students, parents, teachers, and the broader society. This book also presents systematic reviews of social science research regarding important facets of parental school choice. Mr. Cohen has written several books in the past, including California Politics.

“I believe that effectively and efficiently tackling the housing crisis in California requires that cities support tenant protections as well as housing abundance," said Cohen in a news release issued by his office. "In this book, I have offered several policy recommendations on affordable housing, occupational licensing, and school choice in California, starting with a set of robust principles as well as general recommendations. I think that rent controls, occupational licensure, and one-size-fits-all schooling tend to hurt people at the bottom of the economic pyramid. Free enterprise and competition are the only way out of this mess."
