Paul Winters is a 72 year old poet and entertainer. He has sung and played the piano and the organ in various nursing homes and in churches. He takes pride in his music and just as much in his poetry. He has written and had six published books of poems. Each of his books include over close to two dozen poems. His collections of personally written poems include Salvation, My Ambition, and Heaven.

Mr. Winters takes residence in the Loma Linda VA Hospital. He has been an inpatient there for the last eight years after suffering from a stroke and arthritis. However, this is not something that he has ever let get in his way of his love for music and poetry. While he may not be able to fully play his piano and has some difficulty with singing, he still appreciates it all.

He attends worship services, music programs, and “Twelve Steps” meetings at the hospital. He encourages not only his fellow residents but everyone to join him in toastmasters, writing groups, and many more activities. He is always willing to play his music and show others the joy of writing and performing.

If you are interested in joining Mr. Winters in his various activities  with the hospital or want to share his love of music and poetry, you can find him at the Loma Linda VA Hospital.
