Ontario Reign Kicks Off 2018 Visiting Patients

Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH) patients got a visit from Inland Empire ice hockey team Ontario Reign on Wednesday, Jan. 3. Over 20 team members and mascot Kingston took to the hospital playrooms to interact with patients, play games and sign Reign swag for the kids to keep.

One patient, 9-year-old Emri Sjostrom, of Norco, was on his way to a procedure when the team intercepted him for a quick meet and greet. An avid hockey fan, Emri had been looking forward to meeting the team all day. Players high-fived the young patient as he was wheeled away sending him well wishes for speedy recovery.
