On March 5th, 2025, at about 10:48 PM, San Bernardino PD, County Fire, and AMR responded to a swift water rescue in the drainage canal near East Mill Street, just East of South Allen Street.

San Bernardino PD located the man, who was naked and was able to drop a rope on him to keep him from being carried away by the fast-moving water.

San Bernardino County Fire arrived at the scene and lowered a ladder down to the victim.

He climbed up the ladder to the top, where paramedics were waiting with blankets and the gurney to transport him to a local hospital.

The condition of the victim was not released.

Without San Bernardino PD’s quick response, the fast-moving water might have whisked the male away.
