Staff members at Loma Linda University Medical Center held a moment of prayer last week on top of one of the hospital helipads.

Healthcare and spiritual care teams from the Medical Center came together on Thursday, April 23 to pray for the hospitals atop the 7th-floor helipad. They prayed for those impacted by COVID-19, including the patients, the staff and their families.

The moment of prayer was coordinated by Kathy McMillan, director of employee spiritual care at the Medical Center.

“Loma Linda University Health is built on a foundation of prayer and trust in divine guidance,“ she said. “During this time, many have felt a need to pray with renewed fervency, so we gathered a group of employees from the hospital to represent our organization. It was truly a blessed time of prayer for our employees, administration and our patients.”

Video of the moment is available for download here.
