‘Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead’

Loma Linda University (LLU) Drayson Center Preventive Care Clinic will host the showing of the movie “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead” on Sunday, March 30.
“Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead” is a 2010 documentary film by Joe Cross, which chronicles the filmmaker’s health struggles due to obesity, and his 60-day journey across the United States in an effort to find a way to regain his health.
The free screening, open to the public, is at 6 p.m., at the Collins Auditorium, Loma Linda University Drayson Center, 25040 Stewart St., Loma Linda, Calif. 92350.
“We are very excited to host the showing of the movie, ‘Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead’ as the first event of the 2014 Loma Linda Lifestyle Series,” said Dr. Hildemar Dos Santos, director of the program.
“Our aim is to help educate our community members and encourage them to pursue healthy lifestyles and wise nutritional choices to enhance their health,” he said.
