Moreno Valley also swept SCAN NATOA’s Best Public Service Announcement awards category for the City’s “Recycling is Organic,” “Beautify MoVal,” and “Juneteenth” videos.

“I am consistently impressed with our Media and Communications Team's level of talent, professionalism, and innovation,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “Year after year, their hard work is deservedly recognized on the national stage. I want to thank NATOA for this honor and congratulate our incredible team for proving they are the best in the business once again.”

NATOA is a non-profit professional organization serving local governments and regional authorities in developing, regulating, and administering cable television stations and other telecommunications systems. NATOA’s mission is to support and help the communications interests and needs of local governments. The association comprises individuals and organizations responsible for communications policies and services in local governments nationwide.

SCAN NATOA, NATOA’s regional counterpart, builds on the services provided by the national office by offering training, networking, and information on telecommunication issues in California and Nevada.

Moreno Valley has consistently received high praise from NATOA. Last year, the City won national honors in Community Awareness, Public/Community Meetings, and Library Programming, as well as regional honors in Best Public Service Announcement, Best Use of Animation or Motion Graphics, Best Monthly or Weekly News Series, Best Promotional Video, and Best Public Affairs Video from SCAN-NATOA.
