LOMA LINDA>> Many people and students from the Loma Linda community attended the official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of Digital Printing Ink, a retail store that offers numerous services including graphics, mailing and printing services and more. Although the store opened in July of 2016, the store now offers more services available to the public. Jennifer Rowland, manager of Digital Production Ink, thanked the community, officials and representatives for attending the official grand opening. “We don’t just do printing on paper, we have many other services that we can help you with,” Rowland said. Some of these services include embroidery, regular printing, large format printing, laser engraving, mailing and shipping options and more. Before the ribbon cutting, Loma Linda University President Dr. Richard H. Hart spoke at the event and recalled a memory from 1967. Hart said he was in between his freshman and sophomore year of medical school in Loma Linda and just bought a small house nearby. He explained that on one Sunday morning, he was in the process of fixing the house when he came to the building that now houses the store. At the time, the store was a hardware store that had supplies he needed to fix the house. He said he was so anxious to get to the store that he got his first ticket in Loma Linda for not stopping at the stop sign. “It’s interesting to watch buildings go through changes on this campus and this building has been through multiple changes,” Hart said. “I am just delighted to see the latest change. I think it provides a service that will be very beneficial to the entire campus and enables us to effectively compete with a lot of others around here and keep these businesses in sight.” Karen McCulloch, Operations Manager of the Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce, was present along with representatives from State Sen. Mike Morrell’s office and State Assemblyman Marc Steinorth’s office. The two representatives each presented Hart with certificates of recognition in honor of the ribbon cutting ceremony. Those in attendance had an opportunity to receive free boba drinks, enjoy popcorn, cookies and enter raffle tickets for Digital Production Ink prizes. Digital Production Ink is located at 11161 Anderson Street, Suite 105 in Loma Linda, California and is open to the public. The public is also welcome to go to the production store for services, located at 24951 Stewart St. in Loma Linda.
