In Loving Memory of.. Ruth Mae Rist Henry

Ruth Mae Rist Henry, 92, of San Bernardino, passed away on Feb. 10, 2016. She was born in Ironton, Ohio on Nov. 30, 1923. She was married to Francis Oliver Henry on Jan. 1, 1946. They moved from Dayton, Ohio to San Bernardino in 1957. Ruth was an art teacher for 40 years at Ruth Henry’s Art Studios. She was past President and Featured Artist of International Porcelain Artists and Teachers, Inc., past President of San Bernardino Women’s Club, and past President of San Bernardino Chapter of PEO. She was a member of the California China Painting Art Association and California Association of Porcelain Artists. She also taught art through San Bernardino Adult Education and was a professional Milliner, designing special order hats for Harris Co. She is survived by daughter, Karen DiCarlo, son-in-law, Don DiCarlo, grandchildren Dr. Marc DiCarlo, Amy Halloway-DiCarlo, Lisa Michelle Duran, Lenny Duran, and Niza DiCarlo. She is also survived by brother, Norman Rist and great-grandchildren Colby, Austin, Hunter, and Lexie Duran, Nicholas, Garrett, Taylor, Trevor Halloway, Sofia, and Marc Jr. DiCarlo. Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 with Committal at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 East Highland Avenue, San Bernardino, Calif. 92404. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Ruth’s favorite charity, Santa Claus, Inc. of Greater San Bernardino, P.O. Box 2642, San Bernardino, California 92406.
