Bonnes Meres Auxiliary’s Kristin Pierce and Terri DeMuth presented Erin Phillips, president and CEO of Children’s Fund, with a check for $85,000 on Thursday, Dec. 11. The money will help fund many of the programs for the underprivileged kids in local communities. The check presentation was made at the Bonnes Meres holiday breakfast held at the Burrage Mansion in Redlands. Auxiliary members volunteer their time year-round to raise money for children who are at-risk. The annual holiday auction is the main fundraiser for the Auxiliary. This year’s event was themed “Inspire Hearts.” In the spring-time, they also hold a birthday luncheon so that each child in the foster system receives a gift on their birthday. “We are making a difference in the lives of young children, helping give them an opportunity to succeed, as mothers do,” says Kristin Pierce, this year’s president. “The Bonnes Meres Auxiliary of Children’s Fund have incredible hearts for children in need,” stated Erin Phillips. “They put in endless hours of work, and have inspired so many other hearts to become advocates for the abused and impoverished kids in our communities. We are so grateful for their dedication, and the funds provided today will help kids with great needs now.” For more information on Children’s Fund, go to www.childrensfundonline.org or call 909-379-0000.
