Adventist Human Subjects Research Association to Hold 5th Annual Meeting

LOMA LINDA>> The 5th annual meeting of the Adventist Human Subjects Research Association (AHSRA) will be held at Loma Linda University Health starting on Wednesday, May 17  and ending on Saturday, May 20 at the Centennial Complex, 24760 Stewart Street.

Sponsored by Loma Linda University Schools of Allied Health Professions and Public Health, the meeting will feature full presentations and research posters from over a dozen countries and will include nationally recognized and funded researchers.

Several key Loma Linda University Health officials and researchers are scheduled to speak at the event, themed “Whole Person and Community Health and Wellness.”

Loma Linda University Health researchers and staff participating in the meeting are: 

Rhonda Spencer-Hwang, DrPH, associate professor, School of Public Health; Lee Berk, DrPH, associate dean for research, School of Allied Health Professions; Michael Samardzija, PhD, JD, associate vice president for research development; Gina Siapco, DrPH, assistant professor, School of Public Health; Joan Sabate, MD, DrPH, professor, School of Public Health and School of Medicine; Janice P. De-Whyte, PhD, assistant professor, School of Religion; Alexander Larson, student in the doctoral program in clinical psychology; Craig Jackson, JD, MSW, dean, School of Allied Health Professions

Loma Linda University doctoral students Crystal Valentine and Reggie Lubrica and faculty members Arezou Salamat and Heather Javaherian will also display posters at the event.
