Officials from Union Bank, N.A., recently presented a check for $10,000 to Loma Linda University Health, representing the bank’s latest donation to a proposed health care campus in San Bernardino. LLUH officials are expecting to break ground within the next few months on a new clinical and educational campus on a 7.25-acre plot in downtown San Bernardino. The campus is being pursued in collaboration with the city of San Bernardino and the San Bernardino City Unified School District. Last year, Union Bank representatives donated $25,000 to LLUH to help pay for the planning phase of the San Bernardino campus. The latest donation, including an additional $5,000 expected shortly, puts the bank’s total donation at $40,000 to help pay for planning for the San Bernardino campus. “We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support of Union Bank to help us bring this important project to fruition,” said Dr. Richard Hart, president of LLUH. “We expect the San Bernardino campus to be an asset to our community in terms of providing health care and training our local residents for careers in the health care field. It is gratifying to receive support for this wonderful project from members of our community, such as Union Bank.” “We are happy to continue our partnership with Loma Linda University Health and proud to support their ambitious efforts to develop the San Bernardino campus,” said Senior Vice President Susan Beat, commercial banking treasury services manager at Union Bank.
