Residents of Southwest Riverside County will get the chance to learn about breakthroughs and ask questions about plastic surgery at an educational forum on Monday, June 2, at the Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta campus. The forum, free and open to the public, is from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Temecula Room of the Professional Office Building (the building located next to the hospital building) at 28078 Baxter Road, Murrieta, 92563. To RSVP or to get more information, please call 951-686-2252 or e-mail info@LLUplasticsurgery.com. The forum is hosted by Loma Linda University Health System Department of Plastic Surgery. “We are very pleased to bring this educational forum back to the people in Murrieta and the Temecula Valley,” said Dr. Subhas Gupta, chairman of Loma Linda University Health System Department of Plastic Surgery. “It is a wonderful opportunity to get valuable information about the latest in health and beauty topics without having to travel far from home.” At the forum, participants will get the chance to meet and ask questions from the department’s well-regarded plastic surgeons. They may also attend informational sessions or visit booths for mini-consults on a number of topics, including breast reconstruction and reshaping, skin cancer reconstruction, ski aging and makeup, hand and finger pain, and options for contouring your body after weight loss.

A residence shows visible damage from flooding, mud and debris following severe winter storms that began Dec. 23, which brought heavy rain and debris flows to mountain and high desert communities across San Bernardino County. This week, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved recovery-related fee waivers to help eligible property owners repair and rebuild as response and long-term recovery efforts continue.

Photo Caption: Crime in San Bernardino has dropped by 30 percent or more throughout the city. One reason is that there are more officers on the streets. The Police Department’s goal is to have 350 sworn officers. Current full-time staffing is reported at 295 sworn officers and 156 professional staff.
