The Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce recently held their 26th Annual Golf Tournament at Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino. Festivities included a team-play golf tournament, putting and hole-in-one contests, raffles, reverse drawing and luncheon buffet. Phil Carlisle, CEO of the Chamber, said, “The funds raised go toward our chamber programs. There are 108 golfers.. One of our larger tournaments.” Each hole of the tournament was sponsored by a local business. Kimberly Foglio-Walden, Co-owner of Budget Transmission, sponsored hole number one and said, “It is nice to be able to give back to the chamber.” The tournament brought in golfers of all skill levels to participate. Participant Joe Chiuppi thought he would participate in the hole-in-one competition, “The more you play, the more chances you have to hit a hole-in-one.” There are many goals for next year's tournament. Secretary to the Chamber Stephanie Mahe said, “We would like to have 144 golfers, so each hole is occupied. We would also like to have more raffle prizes, more members participating, and to get more exposure for our members.” This was the 4th year the tournament was held at Arrowhead Golf Club.
