The San Bernardino Community College District (SBCCD), through its Economic Development and Corporate Training (EDCT) Division, announces the next section of the Entrepreneurship Institute of San Bernardino, beginning Aug. 5. The Entrepreneurship Institute of San Bernardino six course program (each course is two or three sessions) leads to a Certificate endorsed by the San Bernardino Community College District. Only $395 for the full program, the classes are held one evening per week from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., August 5 through November 11, at the EDCT, located at 114 S. Del Rosa Drive, in San Bernardino. Some fee assistance may be available to participants. Students may also enroll in individual courses. The Institute is lead by EDCT CEO Matthew Isaac, Ph.D.; Bruce Underwood, MBA, CFO/Partner of B2B Staffing Services, Inc. and San Bernardino Valley College business instructor; and Professor Michael Assumma, MBA, chair of the Business Department at San Bernardino Valley College. Dr. Isaac noted, “Entrepreneurs create and innovate, usually with the goal of bringing new businesses and products to the marketplace. Entrepreneurs are major drivers of economic growth locally and across the United States. However, to be a successful business owner, an entrepreneur needs training, mentoring and guidance. The vast majority of business owners whose businesses fail lack the knowledge to create and operate a business successfully. Great ideas and dedication are not enough. The Entrepreneurship Institute provides the aspiring entrepreneur with the nuts and bolts of business ownership, business creation and business operation, using real world terms and examples.” Chancellor Bruce Baron said, “The Inland Empire benefits when new businesses succeed. This Institute offers participants the opportunity, for an extraordinarily low cost, to learn from and be mentored by experts. We are very pleased to offer such an excellent program for such a reasonable cost – and to have the support of local businesses in doing so.” Seating in the program is limited, but there are still spaces and some scholarships available. Additional information on the Entrepreneurship Institute of San Bernardino is available at www.EIOSB.com, or by calling 909-382-4037.
