What Sometimes Gets Forgotten

Shoppers at Loma Linda Market, Friday, March 14th happened to be at the right place at the right time. Maggie Frank, the West coast educator and brand ambassador to Vibrant Health gave an animated and informative session about her product. This was the first presentation in a series about health and lifestyle choices. Store manager, Mike Klein is in the planning phase of gathering speakers and holding demonstrations given by Loma Linda University to encourage and inform the community about leading healthy lifestyles. Some people came specifically to hear Frank speak, while others happened to be shopping and headed over. Audience members were given goodie bags filled with samples of the product to take home, including; Joint Vibrance, Puregreen Protein, Green Vibrance, and Maximum Vibrance. Samples of the product itself, blended by the juice bar Blue Zone were handed out to listeners during the presentation. Trays of fruit and vegetables were on hand for guests to snack on during the hour-long session and water bottles were provided. With the sound of blenders in the background, workers being paged over the intercom and people coming in and out of the store, it was an informal event open to anyone and everyone. Frank was highly animated during the presentation, using her body to demonstrate points and interacting with the audience. She opened by asking the audience how many cells are in their bodies, and replied, “we have more cells in our bodies than there are stars in the sky” She asked the audience, how do they feel when waking up, “are there cheerleaders on your back pushing you up, or weights pulling you back into bed?” as a way to encourage audience members to think about how they feel on a daily basis. Frank said, “we live in a modern world, where things have gotten out of control, the best among us who have the best diets, have a mineral deficiency, and we are an over fed and under nourished world,” she shared, explaining how taking Vibrant Health can assist in giving bodies what they need to be able to thrive. The audience was interested and asked questions during the presentation. Frank stated to the audience, ”make the best decision you have in the moment” regarding diet, and “I’m an advocate for what works for your body” telling members of the audience that everyone will be different in terms of how their body reacts to food diets and supplements. Colton resident of 11 years, Larry Conley was present for the presentation and said, “it’s our first introduction to it, we don’t know much about it” after trying the sample. Sales representative of the Inland Empire and nutritional counsel consultant, Bobbi Jones suggested mixing it with apple juice. Jan Conley said this of her husband, “he makes things like this every morning, kale, carrots, brussel sprouts, pineapple, you name it, and he puts it in the nutribullet, that’s his routine every morning.” Betty Wang, a resident of Loma Linda for 7 years, who works in the CHIP program (Complete Health Improvement Program) and gives cooking demonstrations and health talks to the community, was in attendance saying, “I’m excited, and anxious to try all these products, they sound real nice.” Frank said, “I travel around the nation talking about our product, to educate people to take care of the wonderful gift they were given, our bodies, and to talk about the importance of supplementation and the proper supplements and how people can change their health for the positive." She says, I’m always amazed at how surprised people are about how they have that control of their bodies” Some people at the end of the session were skeptical, while others were excited to try the product for themselves. Rosemarie Henry, a 9-month resident of Rialto, new to Loma Linda Market has been shopping there because of the natural items they have at their store. Henry walked out that afternoon with a container of Vibrant Health after hearing Frank speak. When asked about how people respond to the information session, Frank says, “I have met families who have changed the way they raise their kids, and made the choice to go organic because we met, I get to talk to people who have changed their lives and inspired them to be an advocate for their health, to be in control instead of waiting for it to be over.”
