San Bernardino County Chairman James Ramos has named Gayle Covey as his new field representative for the Inland Valley. A resident of Highland, Covey has worked as the executive director for the San Bernardino County Farm Bureau since 2007. She has worked closely with both appointed and elected officials at the local, state and federal levels as a representative for agriculture. Covey is a graduate of the 2009 California Farm Bureau Federation Leadership program and currently serves on San Bernaridno County Sheriff John McMahon's Information Exchange Committee, Rural Crimes Task Force and Terrorism Early Warning Group. She also serves as a Citrus Liaison for the National Orange Show Event Center. Covey will serve as the field representative for the Loma Linda, Mentone, Redlands, Yucaipa, and Grand Terrace communities. She will be responsible for keeping the Chairman informed of community needs. Covey replaces John Futch, who will now serve as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Chairman. Futch had served as the Field Representative for the Inland Valley since 2013. “I believe that Gayle will be a great addition to our team,” said Chairman Ramos. “She is a long time resident of the Inland Valley and will do a great job at serving the needs of our residents.”
