'Loma Linda's Got Talent'

LOMA LINDA>> From Bluegrass acts to world-class violinists, Loma Linda University will spotlight its deep roots of musical talent during its “Loma Linda’s Got Talent” talent show event on Saturday, March 4 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Drayson Center in Loma Linda. Loma Linda University School of Dentistry’s alum Adrian Dumitrescu will serenade the crowd with his violin skills, and will be joined by current dentistry student Steven Debulgado on the cello. The talent show event is open to the public and admission to the event is free. A number of School of Medicine alumni will step up to perform numbers on a variety of instruments including clarinets, saxophones, guitars and ukuleles. The School of Nursing will have a chorale performance, and a blended group of School of Medicine and School of Dentistry alumni and faculty will awe with a brass quintet. Performances of the evening include Jessica Blaza, School of Medicine student, on the clarinet; Vocalist Andrene Campbell, School of Medicine alumnus; Adrian Dumitrescu, School of Dentistry faculty, on the violin; Steven Debulgado, School of Dentistry student, on the cello; Richard Luke Elloway, School of Medicine alumnus, on the ukulele; Jonathan Harper, Casey Harms, Laurel Guthrie, William Guthrie, Allen Nedley, School of Medicine alumni and students, on the piano and strings; Vocalists Cheek Brothers; Vocalist Lance Hundley, School of Allied Health Professions student; Ron Lamberton, School of Medicine alumnus, on the guitar; School of Nursing students vocal group; Jon Olango, School of Medicine alumnus, on the saxophone and Erik Valenti, School of Medicine alumnus, will give a comedy performance. Also included in the evening is a brass quintet made of Dennis Anderson, Kimber Schneider, Byron Moe, Ben Eby, Terry Douglas, School of Medicine alumni and School of Dentistry alumni/faculty; Kimberly Conley and friends, School of Medicine alumna, School of Public Health students, and others, will give a bluegrass performance; and the finale of the event will be “To Make Man Whole,” performed by Brett Quave, Ron Foo and friends, School of Medicine alumni. The Drayson Center is located at 25040 Stewart Street in Loma Linda.
