She was predeceased by her parents John and Emma (Bambach) Tonn and her older sister Viola Draeger. She is survived by her younger sister Elaine Owens of Sacramento, CA. Her husband Dr. Jack Kennedy preceded her in death. First among the many who mourn her passing are her children Sandra Alain, Pamela, (Robert Scheideman) and J.Rodney Kennedy. She leaves behind two grand-daughters whom she loved dearly Sidney Scheideman and Claire Kennedy, all of Sacramento. Loella moved from North Dakota with her family to Lodi, Ca. when she was in the 6th grade. She graduated from Lodi Academy and attended Pacific Union College where studied music and met her husband. Eventually after raising her family she earned her BA at Loma Linda University/La Sierra. In the early 60s the family moved to Manila, Philippines where her husband served as a medical doctor. This was a most enjoyable 3 years along with the travel for several months preceding and returning to USA. The family then moved to Loma Linda, CA where she was a vibrant member of the community for 37 years. In 2000 she moved to be near her children in Sacramento. Loella was a lifelong member of the Seventh day Adventist Church, and lastly attended Sacramento Central SDA church where her memorial service will be held Sept. 19 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers consider a donation to the Bower Family in Turkey through Adventist Frontier Missions (AFMonline.org) or to a charity of choice.
