Sunday May 24, the Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Loma Linda presented the Frank Losch College Scholarships to four deserving Redlands High School seniors after the 11:30 a.m. Mass. Alexandra Sheble received a $500 scholarship. She will attend Mt. St. Mary's College in the fall where she will major in Biology. Her goal is to study to be a veterinarian. She believes staying close to God is an important part of her life that inspires her to help those in need, and show love and support to others. Robertus Sentosa received a $500 scholarship. He will attend Cal State University, Chico in the fall where he will study computer science. After receiving his computer science degree, he plans to further his studies by attending medical school to become a radiologist. He loves to play on the Redlands Boys' Volleyball Varsity Team and he is an active member in Key Club and ISA, which are volunteer clubs to help the community. Mary Morales received a $500 scholarship. She will attend California Baptist University, Riverside where she will study nursing. She believes success comes to those who are determined. As a nurse she will strive to help patients become cognizant of God's loving presence in their lives. She is a member of the Chamber Singers at Redlands High School. Joshua Gonzales received a $500 scholarship. He will attend San Francisco State University where he will study Biochemistry. Becoming a veterinarian is his passion. He plans to open a non-profit animal hospital in the future so he can treat animals without insurance and give animals the best care they can get. The Knights are proud to present these scholarships each year. Donations and fundraising throughout the year help make this possible.
