On Monday, Sept. 22, Loma Linda University hosted their annual Welcome Back Bash for students starting the academic year. Whether they were incoming freshmen or fourth years, all students were welcome.
The event was held in the middle of the campus, in the quad area. There was food, drinks, prizes, and many, many booths for all the students to visit. The best part - everything was free for the students.
Edwina Rao, a second year student in the School of Public Health said with a smile, “there’s going to be free Boba, so that’s where I’m going.”
All of the students were wearing the appropriate colored shirt, representing the program they were in on campus. A slew of colors walked about, some signifying the School of Pharmacy, School of Public Health, School of Dentistry, and others.
Boba Tea House, Azure Hills Adventist Church, PossAbilities, and the Ronald McDonald House were just a few of the many local organizations and businesses operating booths at the event, distributing free information and prizes to attending students.
This event is held every year to welcome students into the coming year and create a level of familiarity with their community.
