San Bernardino County Residents Can Receive Free Flu Shots at Senior Center

Residents can receive free flu shots at the Loma Linda Senior Center. From 4 to 6 p.m. at on Jan. 27, residents will have the opportunity to receive a flu shot free of charge and discover Loma Linda’s local point of Dispensing (POD) site, a location where the community can go to receive medication and/or vaccinations during a public health emergency, such as a pandemic influenza or bioterrorism. Free flu shots will be available to: • Those ages four or older. A parent/guardian must accompany children under 18 years of age • Those children under age nine who may require two doses of flu vaccine (four weeks apart) based on prior vaccination history • Pregnant women, offered on a first come, first served basis due to limited supply. The Loma Linda Senior Center is located at 25571 Barton Rd., Loma Linda. For further information, contact the County of San Bernardino, Department of Public Health, Preparedness & Response Program at 909-252-4406.
