A 21-year-old San Bernardino man was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies after he was allegedly found to possess apparent stolen property. On Monday, July 13, just after 3 a.m., Salvador Alvarado was stopped by San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy Kostiuk, according to a report issued by local sheriffs, as he was walking near the intersection of Redlands Boulevard and Coloma Street. The report said Alvarado was found to have a warrant for his arrest. The report also stated that Deputy Kostiuk found Alvarado in possession of shaved vehicle keys, several cell phones and a men's ring with another person's name engraved on it. Sheriffs said one of the cell phones, and the men's ring, was determined to have been stolen from a recent vehicle burglary. Sheriffs said Alvarado also possessed other personal property allegedly stolen from a vehicle burglary occurring on the 25000 block of Redlands Boulevard. Alvarado was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Anyone who may have further information may contact Deputy Kostiuk at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Central Station, 909-387-3545.
