The Oct. 5 meeting of the Loma Linda Cultural Art Association welcomes Lisa Mozzini-McDill, a Southern California artist who has worked as a graphic artist and illustrator. Today she works primarily in oil on landscapes and commissioned portraiture. She teaches in her studio, and offers workshops in plein air painting, at which she excels. She will demonstrate techniques of landscape painting in oil, and speak of the inspiration she derives from her efforts to capture the beauties of God’s great creation. Ms. Mozzini-McDill says that her artistic goals are both technical and emotional. She strives to create “an exciting play of light and shadow, an interesting composition, (and creation of) a scene that evokes a depth of emotion” which will “resonate with the viewer “. Her work has been recognized and awarded in exhibitions across Southern California. A recent painting titled “Making My Way Downtown” will be included in the “Contemporary Masters Artistic Eden IV” show at the Pasadena Museum of History, starting on Oct. 1. You can find more of her beautiful paintings at www.lisamozzini-mcdill.com. The Sunday, Oct. 5 meeting will be held in the Loma Linda Senior Center, located at the southeast corner of the Loma Linda Civic Center complex, 25541 Barton Road, Loma Linda, from 2 to 4 p.m. The event is free to LLCAA members, the price for non-members is $3, payable at the door.
