Loma Linda Chamber Scores!

In golf you want to have a low score. However, the Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce scored big. Their 27th Annual Golf Tournament was a huge success. Recently all chambers of commerce have suffered in one way or another, and the Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce is no exception. With Scott Stockdale of University Realty as president at the helm, many businesses rallied around this annual fundraising event to show their support of their chamber of commerce. There was talk of not having the event this year. However, Stockdale and his golf committee made a few phone calls and the ripple began. "A large thank you goes to Robert Cole of Loma Linda University Health Construction Department and Randy Stevens of Loma Linda University Health Engineering Department," said Stockdale. "The efforts of these two individuals brought in the lion share of our sponsors. The Chamber owes them huge gratitude for their time and efforts.” "I would also like to thank my golf committee headed up by Bill Arnold of Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventist. We were also blessed with some special volunteers, such as Elsie Chan, Mary Sue, and Vern Miller. Also there was invaluable help stepping up to assist with set up and check in from Jim Miller of County of San Bernardino and Margie Miller of City News Group.” Stockdale went on to say the funds raised from this annual event support the Chamber of Commerce efforts throughout the year. We have had to go dark on our breakfast meetings and these funds will certainly support that wonderful networking opportunity. Starting in January 2016, the breakfast meetings will once again open the doors to the information exchange for all of its members and guests. Please stay tuned for more information on Chamber activities. In closing, Stockdale reiterated his sincere appreciation to all of the sponsors, especially the Title Sponsor, McCarthy Construction, Gold Sponsors Layton construction and Loma Linda University Health, and Silver Sponsor Tovey Schultz. "Check out our sponsor appreciation ad and support them as they support the Loma Linda community and the Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce," Stockdale concluded.
