Stater Bros. Charities and the Inland Women Fighting Cancer have awarded a $225,000 grant to Redlands Community Hospital (RCH) for the construction of its new Laura and Jack Dangermond Center for Radiation Therapy.
To provide patients with access to the latest innovations and technology in cancer radiation treatments, RCH is building its new 7,364-square-foot Laura and Jack Dangermond Center for Radiation Therapy across the street from the main hospital, located at 245 Terracina Blvd. in Redlands. The new facility will house a new linear accelerator machine, along with a special space for a new PET/CT scanner to provide access to critical cancer care services. The new facility, which is expected to open in 2026, will allow for expansion of radiation therapy as the demand for cancer treatment grows.
"We are truly grateful to Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer for their years of generous support," said Bengt Gustavsson, president of the Redlands Community Hospital Foundation. "Their gift helps ensure our patients can receive high-quality care here in our community, surrounded by their loved ones."
Since 2012, Stater Bros. Charities has supported RCH’s cancer services with grants have enabled the hospital to purchase a high-definition ultrasound system, a state-of-the-art linear accelerator; a 3D mammography system; two cutting-edge breast biopsy systems; and a wire-free breast localization system to improve cancer care in community.
