On Friday, October 19th, 2018 the Redlands Republican Women's Club, Federated is pleased to announce that Michele Rendler, candidate for the Redlands Unified School District Board, will be the featured speaker at the club's lunch meeting. The meeting will be held at the Redlands Country Club starting at 11:30 a.m., with a delicious lunch served at noon and the presentation scheduled at 12:30 p.m. The cost for lunch is $20 and reservations must be made by October 17th. For reservations call Lori Tremain at 909-792-2501. If you want to hear the speaker and not have lunch, there is no cost, and there will be seats available. College students are invited to attend and lunch will be free for them.
The meeting will also include an explanation of the State of California propositions on the ballot for the November 6th election.
Michele Rendler has lived in Redlands with her husband for 28 years. They have five children who went to Redlands Public Schools, 9 grandchildren 5 of which attend Redlands public schools now. Michele grew up in a family of 6 girls, and her father was a school teacher for over 40 years. Her mother volunteered in the Parent Teachers Association and at the schools. Michele also has been involved in PTA; she was PTA president at the elementary, middle and high school levels, as well well as on the Redlands Council of PTAs. Her volunteer work includes: the Redlands Community Scholarship Foundation, and she has served schools directly through School Site Council at three different schools. Michele is a member of the Assistance League of Redlands.
The key issues that are at the forefront of her platform are:
The health and safety of all students and our schools
The use of innovative learning environments and technology
Preparing our students for college and the workforce
Expanded classroom resources for all students and teachers
Michele Rendler says she's prepared to serve on the school board in District 2 with the same passion, commitment and dedication that she has demonstrated as a parent and community volunteer.
