Representatives from Walter’s Children’s Charity Classic, including founders Steve and Cathy Kienle, presented Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH) with a check for $172,000 on Thursday, Feb. 20. The funds were raised during the 18th Annual Walter’s Children’s Charity Classic (WCCC), which took place in October 2013. “The hospital and children we treat have been greatly impacted by the amazing contributions from Walter’s Children’s Charity Classic,” said Tiffany Hoekstra, LLUCH Foundation. “They come together for us every year and it’s just tremendous.” The funds will support the purchase of cardiac monitors for the pediatric intensive care and acute care units as well as any other units that may need them. To date WCCC has raised $3.3 million for LLUCH over the past 18 years.
