During a special new year campaign, the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley will provide neuter surgeries for a discounted $20 fee.
Parents to male pet dogs and cats may bring in their animals to the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley through the month of January for the discounted surgery rate, sponsored by PetSmart Charities.
“Neutering male pets is a simple surgery that reduces unwanted behaviors, like roaming, fighting, and urine marking territories,” said Jill Henderson, Development & Community Outreach Coordinator for the HSSBV. “It also guarantees your dog or cat never fathers a litter of puppies or kittens.”
The $20 rate is available to all Inland Empire residents who mention the "Happy Neuter Year" campaign when they schedule their appointment. The campaign is based on availability - the Humane Society will provide 50 of these $20 sterilizations in January.

Sponsored by PetSmart Charities, the largest funder of animal welfare efforts in North America, the “Happy Neuter Year,” campaign will provide $20 neuter surgeries for male dogs and cats during the month of January.
Spaying and neutering is one of the most effective ways to reduce the homeless pet population and is safe for puppies and kittens as young as eight to 10 weeks old, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association.
