Loma Linda University School of Public Health and the Drayson Center Preventive Care Clinic is hosting the “MOVE OR LOSE” seminar on exercise during the month of January and the first week of February. The program is within a series called “Winter Wednesdays” with other community seminars.
Hildemar Dos Santos, MD, DrPH and assistant professor at Loma Linda University School of Public Health said, “My main goal is to help people and communities to change their health behaviors, particularly destructive behaviors such as smoking, drinking, and having bad exercise and dietary habits. This seminar series will highlight the physical and mental health benefits of having a good exercise regimen.”
The schedule for the “MOVE OR LOSE” seminar series is:
-Jan. 20 “Exercise and Metabolic Syndrome – Move and you Lower it”
-Jan. 27 “Exercise and Obesity – Move and you Lose”
-Feb. 3 “Exercise and Depression – You Move, you Loose“
The seminars will be held at the Loma Linda University Church, 11125 Campus Street, Loma Linda, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. with a light meal being served at 6 p.m. For more information or to register, call (909)558-4570.
