Looking for something fun to do with the whole family? Check out Loma Linda University Health’s family Health Fair Sunday, October 27, at LLU Drayson Center, 25040 Stewart Street, Loma Linda from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will offer free flu shots and health screenings, food, games, and health exhibits.
Prior to the fair, at 8:00 a.m., there will be a family 5K that is designed for everyone—from casual walkers to elite runners—at no cost. Pre-register online by 3:00 p.m. on October 24 at http://www.FHF5K.com/runner or register at the day of the event starting at 7:00 a.m. at the Drayson Center soccer field.
The free event welcomes children and adults of all ages, and is sure to educate and entertain. In addition to the usual health screenings, including weight, blood pressure, sight, and hearing, there will also be various entertainment and activities including cooking demonstrations, face painting, balloon artists and circus tumblers. Flu shots will be available to those ages three and over on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Opportunity drawings will occur throughout the event, giving participants the chance to win prizes, with the grand prize being a Disneyland family package for four, with a two-night stay at a nearby hotel.
